Prayer for World Peace

Eternal God, we lift our voices in prayer for world peace and unity. Our world is fragmented, torn apart by conflicts and misunderstandings among countries, cultures, and families. We ask that you would bring people especially leaders together regardless of their differences. Help us to celebrate diversity and recognize the inherent worth and dignity of every woman, man, and child. Break down the walls that divide us, whether they are cultural, racial, political or religious. Let love and understanding be the bridges that unite us. Ignite a spirit of cooperation and collaboration as we work towards the peaceable kingdom. Lord, may your love bind us together, creating a tapestry of peace and unity without war and hatred.
We pray.
Amen.

NAACP Award Acceptance

The vision of the NAACP states a commitment to a world where Black people enjoy equitable opportunities in thriving communities. The Felician Sisters at Felician Center serve ALL races, ALL nationalities, ALL faiths but primarily the Black community. The Black community is represented in all aspects of the Outreach Center as board members, committee members, volunteers and in leadership.
Jackie Hales, county councilwoman, nominated the Felician Sisters and Felician Center for the COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD that reads: “with our sincere appreciation, we hereby recognize the Felician Sisters for all of their selfless service and support shown and given to the citizens of Williamsburg County”. Because the Sisters were in Chicago at a community assembly, Deacon Harold Jackson from St. Ann Church accepted the award on September 14, 2024. The Sisters prepared remarks that included “thank you to Joe Castle, President of Williamsburg County NAACP, Jackie Hales and voting members of the NAACP who recognized our humble efforts to end structural racism through the Felician Center”.

What Folks Are Saying....

The Felician Center offers all types of service for the community. Those services are very helpful and appreciated - food, education, home goods, and more. Thanks again.

I just want to say thank you to St. Felix pantry. Many of us have little amount of Social Security. After I pay all our bills, there is not much left for food. This pantry is truly a Big Help.

This center has been doing an amazing job for the community and beyond. I love the service that they give. I leave with a blessing and a smile each time.

The sisters see the needs in our community and somehow they are able to meet them.

I thank the sisters for all they have done for my family, our town and the surrounding area. I thank God for them. God bless you all.
